Inspired by the cycle of nature, floristry student Jisoo Park’s glorious wedding design concept draws on the rich colours of the earth itself. On a table strewn with soil, her delicate palette extends from the purple butterfly leaves of shamrock through paper-thin pink ranunculus and Rococo roses to red skimmia and golden bulbs. A wire backdrop showcases an array of diminutive botanical textures: peppercorns, waxflower, rosy tangles of jasmine, mixed foliage… A charcoal wedding cake with naturalistic decorations, boutonnières, floral headdress, painterly bulb covered vases and two jewel-handled bridal bouquets complete the project, one graced with pure ranunculus, the other mixed with scabiosa seedheads, waxflower and pepper.
