Winter offers its own inspiring story. The trees shake off their leafy cloaks, soft lichen and moss textures their bare branches’ only embellishments. Sparse colours sparkle in the fading light. Zita captures the spirit, bringing the outdoors into the flower shop for Christmas. A doorway framed with lichen branches, gold asparagus fern, skimmia and pine cones beckons visitors into an enchanted woodland scene.
Beneath twigs fluttering with metallic birds, striking red grasses, ilex berries and scattered cranberries surround a silver birch container with crimson roses, mixed foliage, pine cones, ranunculus and pepper berries. A candle arrangement with hydrangeas and roses cosies up alongside. A floral chandelier floats in one window, dressed in lichen branches, rosehip, crabapples and pine cones. In another a vintage nativity fronted by wooden decorations is displayed. Elsewhere in the shop silver, gold and glass baubles glisten in naturalistic vignettes.
Check the shop for festive decorations, visit the school for workshops or order gift tokens for a floral design class in 2017.
