It was such a compliment to be asked by Joyce, a florist, and Stephen, a landscape artist, to style the flowers for their wedding. This took place at Barnsley House, with an outside ceremony in the garden temple and celebrations inside the house, quote Zita: “one of the most beautiful countryside venues in England I have ever been to.”
The loveliest discerning clients, the perfect venue, an exquisitely prepared event – what more could one ask for? One of our favourite wedding photographers, Catherine Mead. We’ve picked a few standout images, with a focus on flowers of course. To see the full story visit Snippet and Ink’s carefully curated blog. There are a handful more pictures and further words from the bride here.
The atmosphere of this wedding is just as Joyce intended – soft, ethereal and calm. Among her favourite things: “the antique altar arrangements done by Zita Elze Flowers, and the lovely architecture of the Gothic Summer House at Barnsley House. So perfect.” Joyce also loved the little floral favour stand, the ceremony aisle bordered with delphinium, astilbe and greenery, and the pink ruffled cake by The Cake Parlour, topped with the bride’s favourite flowers.
