A glimpse into the glory of bouquet composition in Zita’s recent Seoul master class. Students explored the concept and techniques involved in ‘hand-tied with emotion’ and hydrangea embroidered bouquets.
Zita’s methodology for creating hand-tied bouquets is unlike any other. Rather than follow set rules, which she sees as formulaic and stifling, she draws on individual emotions, encouraging a natural flow which is also informed by the season and availability of fresh materials. In this hugely popular and often transformative class Zita reveals some of her secrets, immersing students in the fashioning of individual bouquets which are perfectly executed, personally expressive and always beautiful.
Hand-tied bouquet master classes take place in the Design Academy in Kew on a monthly basis and are also included in the 4-week course. Other bouquet styles are covered in Concept and Design, Wedding Design and the forthcoming ‘Romance at Barnsley’.
