Inspired by the gentle fluttering of butterflies delicately poised on leafy branches and a naturalistic vintage feel in soft blends of whites and greens, this wedding design alludes to a poetic gathering in an old Italian vineyard.
It was created earlier this month by Yunkyung Lee, who enrolled on the 1 week Advanced Wedding Design Master Class with Zita at the Flower Academy in Kew. She was keen to learn all about Zita’s unique style and to perfect her bouquet tying techniques, as well as more specifically to absorb ways in which to fine tune her creative thinking process and come up with original new approaches to design.
“I love Yunkyung’s concept. I was glad that she took the plunge and adapted her first idea which was, I felt, a little bit too strong. Here she has gone for exquisite and original. Her inspiration comes from something very close to her heart and her final floral installation was really quite amazing! I loved working with Yunkyung, such a lovely lady! I hope to see her again soon.” Zita Elze, June 2019
Yunkyung chose peonies, roses, moss, and a multitude of little wild flowers for her subtly toned project, with signature notes of bolder colours. She is looking forward to integrating the techniques which she learnt, including a new-found ability to tap into fresh sources of inspiration, into her work as a wedding florist.
