The Floral Art Cube

The Floral Art Cube

Flashback to the Floral Art Cube which graced Westminster Cathedral Piazza for London Design Festival in September, in association with the RHS and Victoria Connections, the Business Improvement District in Victoria, London.

Zita’s installation responded foremost to the concept of a city square – a place to meet, reflect and relax – by way of a square (cube) within a square. It also offered a chance to engage with the Floral Art Cube itself and not just think but be ‘outside the box’. The mirrored panels embedded in each facet reflected and celebrated the buildings around the Piazza, including the magnificent Byzantine Revival Westminster Cathedral, famous for its mosaics, themselves formed from thousands of tiny squares.

Coming full circle on the Floral Art Cube, it was created mainly for beauty and fun. It was the perfect selfie backdrop and we urged everyone not to be square and to strike a pose – which they did!

With thanks to the team at Victoria BID for the images.
